My name is Michael Campbell. Many people have asked me why I wanted to start a holster company. The market is flooded with them. Here’s why. I used to be a government contractor for the National Guard, Air Force, and Navy. So you can imagine I traveled A LOT. We installed security systems, CCTV, and access control systems. In our spare time, in these random cities, my co-workers and I would visit gun stores and ranges and I noticed something. Many people were actually carrying their firearm without a holster. That worried me. Not for my safety but for theirs.
I am still in the business of low voltage security, but decided to come off the road and stay in South Carolina to be with my family full time. However, I couldn’t help but notice that many people are still carrying their firearm without the trigger being covered. Safety is essential when it comes to carrying a firearm so this was a major concern for me. After a lot of research it was clear that many holster companies have a 6 to 8 week wait time. Those companies are great and I deal with many of them on a regular basis but they are simply overwhelmed with orders. I wanted to provide gun owners with another option. So I started making them myself, and got really good at it, and realized that I can make them quickly without sacrificing any of the quality. My customers began giving me great feedback and referring others to me. So I said “why not make this another option for everyone”. Then Mac-Tac Concealment was born! Yes, I know, another holster company.
